Wondrous twilight sit with me for a minute or two
Don’t leave me stranded alone under the harsh beam
The sun grins and people welcome morn
But I stood feeling naked under the evidence of my existence
Let me sit with you for a while more
Bidding goodbye to the dark sky
Quietly will I share my secrets with you
Of how dark night burns me and how morning leaves me cold
It’s veracity not once told
You are the anchor of light, and bidder of solemn night
The most gentle and pure to my eyes
In the darkness when everything is silent
You invade and prevail, a gateway of Sun and guardian of light
In your final moments you are stealth and sly
Wait a little more my wondrous twilight
Lovely, I like the train of thought.
(minor thing… should it be “morning leaves” or “mornings leave” in stead of “morning leave” in line 8?)
